Frequently asked questions

We bake from a local kitchen in Mount Hawthorn. You are able to choose a pick up date from the options available on the checkout page and collect directly from our kitchen. For delivery – currently we deliver on a Wednesday which can also be selected at checkout.

We batch bake our recipes fresh, package them up and then freeze them, ready for you to order and collect or have delivered. Because of this process we are able to bake food without all the hidden nasties and preservatives (YAY!).

Thank you for your patience as we get started and introduce our new business to the market! We absolutely plan to expand our offerings and are actively working on creating gluten-free, dairy-free, and other dietary options. We will get there soon. We truly appreciate your support!

Please store them in the freezer until ready to eat. If stored frozen, below 18 degrees, the products will last up to 3 months in the freezer.

There is no need to defrost any of the recipes if going in a lunchbox to eat at recess or lunch-time. They will thaw naturally. In the winter months however, when the weather is cooler, the recipes will take longer to thaw if you are using ice-packs in lunch bags so please be mindful of this. Personally I don’t use ice packs in the cooler months for this reason.

Yes – that’s the plan. We’ve started off with just a few things for now. If you have any suggestions though we’d love to here them so drop us an email at [email protected]

While we hope there are no issues, sometimes things happen by mistake. If you have received the wrong order or anything else has gone wrong please drop us an email at [email protected] and we will sort it out asap.

Yes! The pouches and sticker labels are both fully recyclable.

No! There are no hidden nasties in our products. All ingredients are outlined on our shop page and food labels. What you read is what you get. The only item that contains any additive is the butter puff pastry used in our Pizza Power Scrolls. In comparison to regular puff pastry though, it’s the healthier option 🙂

It is preferable to be home to accept your local delivery as the products are frozen and will need to go into the freezer asap. If you are unable to be home at the time of delivery your order will be placed in an insulated reusable cool bag with ice packs if the weather is hot. This will help to keep the products frozen for as long as possible. To try cut down on packaging please try to be home if possible.

To lock in nutrients and keep them fresh. If kept frozen our products will keep for up to 3 months in the freezer making this super convenient for you to keep and use whenever you need.

We list salt in our ingredients list on the products where it’s added because of course we have to. But we are talking like a touch of salt in a whole batch of baked goodies – not crazy amounts of salt. Just a touch of salt can help with improving the structure and elasticity of dough which makes lighter, airier breads and more tender cakes. It also helps to slow the rate of yeast fermentation, which helps prevent the development of undesirable bacteria. We only use coconut sugar in our recipes which is minimally processed. Our organic coconut sugar has No GMO, is unbleached and unrefined. Some of our recipes are sweetened with just fruit, honey or agave syrup, it depends what we are baking but we wouldn’t bake anything we didn’t feel comfortable feeding our own little munchkins.
